travelogues

Inspiring! Lucy Knisley on graphic travelogues. She does a great little tutorial on homemade sketchbooks special for travelogues too in the video.
I'm really getting into graphic novels lately, I asked for Alison Bechdel's Fun Home for X'mas, it's coming in the mail, I can't wait to read it!

Speaking of drawing, I'm still on that 30 Day Drawing Challenge, I just took a break for the holidays. I love breaks!

Bought some new supplies today, going to try linocut printmaking tonight.
Kurt Vonnegut says practicing any art
is a way to make your soul grow, so tonight, I hope to make my soul grow, it needs it.

Diy project! Do these look familiar? I was inspired by the shoes from this Juergen Teller picture.
I made these silk flowers last night and sewed them onto an old pair of shes I had. Now these shoes feel fancy and new, I'm going to wear them for my birthday party. I was going to wear them with shorts but the weather is super cold today, it's nice, I'll get to pull out my fall jacket, but I guess I'll have to wear pants tonight.

I'm obsessed with Dev right now, have you guys heard Booty Bounce?
She's got quite the alternative lifestyle haircut, it's hot.
