live

Razors pain you;
Rivers are damp;
Acids stain you;
And drugs cause cramp;
Guns aren’t lawful;
Nooses give;
Gas smells awful;
You might as well live.

Sarah Kay

I would really like to have children with her.
An(other) inspiring TED Talk, this time on: art making, finding your voice and also, passion.

islands

"The ocean is deathless.
The islands rise and die.
Quietly come, quietly go.
A silent swaying breath."

nostalgia

“When I was young,
Nostalgia was a tiny stamp,
Me on this side,
Mother on the other side.

When I grew up,
Nostalgia was a narrow boat ticket,
Me on this side,
Bride on the other side.

But later on,
Nostalgia was a low, low grave,
Me on the outside,
Mother on the inside.

And at present,
Nostalgia becomes a shallow strait,
Me on this side,
Mainland on the other side.”

- NOSTALGIA BY YU GUANGZHONG (YU KWANG-CHUNG) translated by himself.
