La Fart de NoWay

Frickin' cutest cat in the world, there was a bunch of new little kitties at La Ferme de Noé. The kitties and the girls I volunteered with were the only redeeming qualities the place. Don't go there. The death witch of Melanoma runs the place.

These were the girls I volunteered with: Esther (what the heck happening to Esther in this photo? She's from Toronto, you can see her in the picture below), Ashley, Shana (from Kansas) and Jenny (from Belgium). Here we are enjoying the national drink of Trets (the town closest to the Fart, just under an hour walking), Monaco, its beer, limonade and strawberry syrup.

As there was no bus out of Trets on Sundays, picnicking became one of my favourite activities on the Sabbath day.

Beach

The exciting thing about beaches in France is that you can take your top off, air out your tits a little bit. Last weekend I was in Marseille following my incarceration at La Fart de NoWay (more on that later). Such a great bustling city, but it was unbearably hot and the sun was releasing all the piss smells baked into the rocks. The only way to escape was into th Mediterranean Sea, and escape I did, hoping unto the 9am ferry, I landed on the beautiful island of Frioul.

Looks like the Louis Vuitton don was also on the ferry.

These trees were really neat, I've never seen anything like them, it seems like they were growing out of aloe plants.
I tried to touch some cactus, I got stabbed and ended up with a bunch of splinters in my finger.

Ps. I don't know why the pictures are so blurry, if you click on them it gets better.

Funky Town

I want to dress like this, on and off stage.

Right now, I'm in Marseille, in my hostel you have to be buzzed in. I think its a bad part of town. Alors, its a great hostel and the cheapest place I could find in this beautiful and buzzing city. If you are ever in town, try to stay at Vertigo. Friendly staff and great decor.

I'm Leaving Today

I'm leaving for France today, please, try to take care of yourselves. If the universe conspires with me during the next two months, I will try to turn this blog into a frequently updated travel blog. Until now. I leave you with this.

Before there was Apple.

Before there was Apple, there was Dieter Rams, for Braun.

His 10 Commandments of Design are a timeless measure of good design. His theories are concise and inspiring, and my personal philosophy of design do not deter far from his. Honesty, is a theme I have constantly tried to communicate whenever I sit down and begin to design a garment.

Good design is innovative.
Good design makes a product useful.
Good design is aesthetic. Details, subtle shades, harmony to achieve an equilibrium of whole.
Good design helps a product be understood. Intuitive designs that are self-explanatory and eliminate the need for
an operating manual.
Good design is unobtrusive.
Good design is honest.
Good design is durable.
Good design is thorough to the last detail.
Good design is concerned with the environment.
Good design is as little design as possible.

Warm

Forget Snuggie, that polyester for sale on tv bullshit, save up 300 dollazzz and get yourself a brand-name, fancy Blankoat. Its Grim Ripper gone glam and Canadian. Obviously, Grim is all trendy and doesn't like that sweatshop business, so this is made in Iceland with Icelandic wool.
